Hey Guys
First of all I would like to congratulate you to invest time in searching content to refine your skill set/understandings of the subject and visiting this blog.
Many a times when we are to face an interview of a domain where we wish to make our career seems quite nightmarish. More so if you have less hands on work ex and are relying on the knowledge mustered via self reading or training.
When you choose to make sap as your career choice, it even becomes more daunting given the scope an interviewer can ask questions from.
I am well versed with interview process and the possibilities that can come to an interviewer's mind.
I have conducted many a marathon interview sessions for laterals, walk ins and also have been interviewed multiple times.
I have been unsuccessful multiple times then with time I realized that there is a domain in which an interview is conducted and the same needs to be understood by a potential candidate.
One thing I can assure that your mannerisms matter a more than your SAP skillset to the panel. Panel may pardon your lack of skillset (not intention to learn) then if you are found bluffing or a non-listener then your chances are bleak.
Here is an example:
Never annoy interviewer by telling him to call at another number than the one provided in your resume.
Kindly make sure that you have enough balance for the call or even if you are in a region where incoming is charged kindly hang on to the same phone only.
90 percent of the interviewers have mostly made up their mind as they view the cv on acceptance or rejection of the candidate. So, don't add fire to the fuel by making them go extra mile to call you on other numbers.
There is a always a set of questions which 99 percent of the interviewers ask from.
Whenever you go thru the technical discussions, please do make a note of the questions you were not able to answer and search for its answer. It will not take you long to figure out the right answer with all the kind of internet penetration we have today.
Please make a note of all those questions and answers and remember them by heart, it will be right if you check the same in sap system as well and try your hand as well. This will give you confidence.
You will find that after doing these exercise couple of times the document you are compiling will not have new additions and you will not be unsuccessful another time. Still, keep on adding to this dossier as you encounter another question you didn't know.
In end, do tell the interviewer that it was worth investing time with him as it left you more enlightened. He will surely feel good and this will wipe some of the mistakes you have committed in the process and may lead to a better than expected outcome.
Failure is not apart from success, its a part of success. Its the road which leads to success. So keep walking and you would strike your goals.
